Youth on Course

Youth on Course is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides youth with access to life-changing opportunities through golf. Private funding makes it possible for members to have access to play for $5 or less through subsidies to thousands of courses throughout the United States, Canada and Australia.

Members have the opportunity to succeed through Youth on Course programs: DRIVE Club, Careers on Course, Leadership Council and College Scholarships. In addition, Youth on Course has an Alumni Network which extends membership to those 19 and older. This elevated membership offers opportunities for young adults to connect at complementary events, access exclusive deals, find jobs, and much more.

Through the generosity of individual donors and support of organizations throughout the country, the widely successful Youth on Course program subsidizes rounds of golf for $5 or less for children between the ages of 6 through 18. Since its founding by the Northern California Golf Association in 2006, Youth on Course has grown to over 190,000 members and 2000 participating member courses in the United States.

Beyond the on-course impact, Youth on Course provides a caddie program, paid high school internships, and college scholarships. In New Jersey, there are currently 33 participating YOC member courses. These courses are reimbursed the difference of a particular rate, therefore enabling kids to play golf at an affordable price.

The annual cost to join Youth on Course in New Jersey is $20, and the first step is to register here and complete the 15-minute, on-line curriculum. Benefits of YOC include access to participating venues throughout the country, membership with the New Jersey State Golf Association (click here for member benefits), and an official USGA - GHIN Handicap. There is no limit to the number of rounds that a member can take advantage of each year.
