Apply for a 2025-26 Scholarship
GENERAL INFORMATION
The New Jersey State Golf Association (NJSGA) Caddie Scholarship is available to qualified applicants who have caddied at a participating NJSGA club for at least two seasons. Full-time attendance as an undergraduate at an institution of higher education accredited by the U.S. Department of Education is required.
APPLICATION PROCEDURES
1. Create a profile and submit your completed application HERE
You will need your Caddie Manager's email in order to submit a request to attest your eligibility and provide a recommendation
2. Upload pages 1 & 2 only of your parents' (or guardians') 2023 Federal Income Tax Return.
3. If you are a high school senior, upload your current transcript, indicating your cumulative Grade Point Average and your SAT or ACT score report, if taken.
4. If you are currently enrolled in college, upload your current college transcript, indicating your cumulative Grade Point Average.
SELECTION CRITERIA
The NJSGA Caddie Scholarship Committee reviews applications based upon the following criteria:
- Academic record
- Financial need
- Qualities of character and leadership
- Club's financial support of the Foundation

IMPORTANT DATES:
- July 15, 2024 - Application period opens for 2025-26 academic year
- Mid-August 2024 - First installment of scholarship sent to college and universities for the 2024-25 academic year
- October 15, 2024 - Application due date for 2025-26 academic year
- Mid-December 2024 - Second installment of scholarship sent to colleges and universities for the 2024-25 academic year
- March 2025 - Applications under Committee Review
- April 2025 - Award letters sent electronically
- May 31, 2025 - Scholarship Acceptance Agreement completed and submitted via portal
- June 15, 2025 - Thank you note and head shot uploaded to portal
- June 25, 2025 - Scholars' Banquet at Galloping Hill Golf Course

NJSGA Evans Scholars Foundation Application Information
Since 2021 the NJSGA’s Caddie Scholarship Foundation has partnered with the Western Golf Association’s Evans Scholars Foundation to provide full tuition and housing scholarships to caddies from New Jersey who meet the requirements set by the Evans Scholars Foundation. Additionally, the Caddie Scholarship Foundation is working closely with the Evans Scholars Foundation to raise funds for an NJSGA/Evans Scholars House on the campus of Rutgers University so that NJSGA/Evans Scholars can live together in community.
NJSGA/Evans Scholars currently attend such prestigious universities as Indiana University, Miami University of Ohio, Ohio State University, Purdue University, Rutgers University, and University of Notre Dame. As of the 2022-2023 academic year, NJSGA/Evans Scholars will attend Rutgers University.
