Yale Duo Qualifies for 10th U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Championship
GLEN RIDGE, N.J. - Yale student-athletes Mia Sessa (Augusta, Georgia) and Ashley Yen (Houston, Texas) qualified for the 10th U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Championship after an 18 hole qualifier at Glen Ridge Country Club.
The pair of rising juniors fired a 6-under par 65 on the 5,973-yard course. Sessa and Yen carded seven birdies for the day altogether.
With a birdie on No. 18, Daria Delfino (Jersey City, New Jersey) and Christina Parsells (Bernardsville, New Jersey) forced a playoff against Ysabel Liu (Short Hills, New Jersey) and Nina Choe (New York, New York) for the two alternate spots, both recording a 4-under par 67.
Liu and Choe claimed the first alternate spot with a par on the second playoff hole, as Delfino and Parsells bogeyed to earn the second spot.
Sessa and Yen will compete at Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club on May 10-14, 2025.
