The NJSGA’s “Wednesday Roundup” will run weekly through the 2024 golf season. This weekly news summary will feature local stories and news from throughout #thestateofgolf.   • Alyssa Roland advanced to the Round of 32 at the 37th U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship, as Christina Parsells and Samatha Perrotta advanced to the Round of 64. (Click for more

  • On the PGA Tour, Ryan McCormick and Chris Gotterup will play in the 2024 Procore Championship. (Click for more

  • Princeton men’s golf team won the team title at the USF/Howard Intercollegiate. Reed Greyserman recorded a top 10 finish at even par. (Click for more

  • Angelina Tolentino and the Vanderbilt women’s golf team won the Carmel Cup at Pebble Beach Golf Club. The freshman tied for fourth individually at 3-under par. (Click for more

  •  Debbie O’Connell won Professional of the Year for the Northeast Section. (Click for more)

  • The 97th NJPGA Professional Championship will wrap up on September 12 at Echo Lake Country Club. The top 11 eligible finishers will qualify for the 57th PGA Professional Championship. (Click for more

  • Kevin Casey, author of Remarkable Stories of New Jersey Golf, will be hosting “The Top 10 Firsts, Bests, and Online of New Jersey Golf” at the USGA Museum on September 12 at 5:30 pm. The event begins at 4:30 pm with guided tours, history presentation, and book signing. 

  • The 11th Annual R.A. Schiavone Memorial Cup Pro/Senior Scratch Event will be held on Tuesday, October 15 and Wednesday, October 16 at Forsgate Country Club. For more information, please contact Michael Furey at michaelfurey@forsgatecc.com.  

  • The Scholarship Fund for Inner-City Children is hosting a golf outing at Canoe Brook Country Club on September 25. The SFIC provides children in need with an opportunity to receive a high-quality education in a safe environment. (Click for more

  • Kids’ Chance of New Jersey is hosting an event at Scotland Run on September 30. Kids’ Chance of New Jersey is a 501c3 that provides scholarships to children. (Click for more

  • The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation’s Jersey Shore Golf Tournament will be held on October 10 at Deal Country Club. (Click for more

  • Rutgers University Men’s Golf is hosting the 7th annual Hackberry Invitational on Friday, September 27 at the Rutgers University Golf Course. This event will celebrate the 88th year of the Men’s Golf program. (Click for more)  

  • On Monday, September 23, the West Morris Area YMCA will host their 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Panther Valley Golf and Country Club. This event will support the YMCA’s financial assistance fund. There are several opportunities to participate in the event. (Click for more
