The NJSGA’s “Wednesday Roundup” will run weekly through the 2021 golf season. This weekly news summary will feature local stories and news from throughout #thestateofgolf. • After spending last week at Conwy Golf Club in Wales as the second alternate in the prestigious Curtis Cup, Megha Ganne (Holdmel) will compete in the PING Junior Solheim Cup at Sylvania Country Club alongside Katie Li (Basking Ridge). The 12 best female junior golfers (ages 12-18) from the United States will go against the 12 best junior girls from Europe. The event runs Sept. 1-3 in Ohio. (Click for more)
• The Forme Tour Championship will be held at Ridge at Back Brook from Sept. 7-10. New Jersey natives Ryan Snouffer (Sparta) and Ryan Siegler (West Windsor) compete on the Forme Tour.
• Thomas Lee (Alpine) and Brandon Dalinka qualified for the U.S. Mid-Amateur after qualifying on August 17 and 18, respectively. (Click for more)
• The 100th Philadelphia PGA Professional Championship is being played at Aronimink Golf Club August 30-Sept. 1 with David Quinn (Laurel Creek CC), Bob Hennefer (Laurel Creek CC) Graham Dendler (Trenton CC) and  Patrick Butkus (Tavistock CC) making the cut. (Click for more)
• Jim McGovern (Haworth) will be inducted into the Old Dominion Sports Hall of Fame on October 16. (Click for more)
• On September 27, 2021 The Arc of Essex County is hosting the Craft Beer Open, which features 18 holes of golf with local, on-course craft beer tastings, lunch, cigar rolling, and a post event cocktail and awards reception at Crestmont Country Club in West Orange. Proceeds from the event will support The Arc of Essex County’s efforts to provide comprehensive services and supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. • The LPGA Tour returns to the historic Bay Course at Seaview on September 27-October 3 for the Shoprite LPGA Classic Presented by Acer. The event has been hosted just outside of Atlantic City since 1986 and has been long considered a South Jersey staple. Tickets are on sale now. (Click for more)
• For the first time in golf history, NBC will have an all-female broadcast team. Cara Banks, Judy Rankin, Paige Mackenzie, Karen Stupples and Kay Cockerille will call the Shoprite LPGA Classic in October based out of Galloway. (Click for more)
• The 2021 NJSGA Corporate Golf Challenge presented by Provident Bank is a can’t miss event. The tournament is open to teams which represent New Jersey-based companies from any business sector. This years event will be held at the gorgeous Canoe Brook Country Club on Oct. 12, 2021 (Click for more)
• The 10th Annual Fore the Kids Golf Tournament will be held at Mountain Ridge Country Club on Monday, September 20th. Spectrum360’s mission is to provide the highest quality educational and therapeutic programs for individuals with learning, language and social/emotional challenges to achieve their maximum potential as responsible adults in society; recognize and value the individuals’ unique abilities, learning styles and differences; and serve as a leader in promoting innovative educational programs. • Due to many students going back to college, many golf clubs in New Jersey are looking for help as the golf season continues. Contact your local golf club to inquire on any opportunities.
• The LPGA Cognizant Founders Cup is coming to New Jersey from October 4-10 at Mountain Ridge Country Club. The organization is looking for volunteers for the historic event. (Click for more)
