Wednesday Roundup - October Edition

The NJSGA’s “Wednesday Roundup” typically runs weekly through the golf season. With so much news and buzz in #thestateofgolf, the NJSGA has released its October edition of the Wednesday Roundup. 

  • On November 2 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., the USGA’s Veterans Employee Resource Group is welcoming all veterans, and their families to enjoy the USGA Golf Museum and Library free-of-charge. The museum will provide information for military-themed, self-guided tours and have a number of military related artifacts from the museum’s collections on display. In addition to the activities, the USGA has partnered with the VA to have a number of VA PACT Resources available on-site. (Click for more)

  • Nominations for the New Jersey Hall of Fame are set to close December 1. Nominees should have made an extraordinary and remarkable contribution to, or impact on, the game of golf in the State of New Jersey as a player (amateur or professional), club professional, superintendent, architect, golf industry participant or other person involved in the game of golf in the State of New Jersey.   • On the PGA Tour, Max Greyserman finished t2 at the Zozo Championship, firing a 19-under par 261. (Click for more

  • Ryan McCormick shot 14-under par 270 to finish t16 at the Shriners Children’s Open. (Click for more

  • On the LPGA Tour, Marina Alex finished t6 at the Maybank Championship with a score of 15-under par 273. (Click for more

  • Rutgers men’s golf team finished 8th at the White Sands Collegiate in the Bahamas. (Click for more

  • Katie Li of Duke University finished t5 at the Landfall Tradition tournament. Michigan State senior Katie Lu finished t16. (Click for more

  • Barnes Blake and Georgetown men’s golf took home the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate. Blake individually placed fourth. (Click for more

  • Samantha Galantini finished t3 at the Lady Blue Hen Invitational for Quinnipiac University’s 2nd place finish. Natalie Spiska and Vaidehi Shah also competed for the Bobcats. (Click for more

  • Several New Jersey golfers competed in the Georgetown Intercollegiate at Echo Lake Country Club last week. New Jersey's Princeton University took home the team title, while 2022 New Jersey Amateur runner-up Will Huang took home the individual title. (Click for more)

  • Sammie Dolce of Bowling Green State University finished third at the Loyola Parkinson Family Invitational. (Click for more

  • Several New Jersey golfers competed in the Bucknell Invitational, including Monmouth men’s golfer Patrick Scenna, placing t-9. (Click for more

  • Rory Asselta was named to the 2024 AJGA Junior All-Star Team. (Click for more

  • Chester Patterson of Hamilton Farm Golf Club won the 18th MGA Mid-Amateur Championship at Manasquan River Golf Club, firing 2-under 142. (Click for more
