- Scotch Plains native John Pak won the prestigious Jack Nicklaus Award, given to the best player in collegiate golf. He also recently won the Fred Haskins Award and the Ben Hogan Award. (Click for details)
- Pak is set to make his professional debut, as he competes in the Palmetto Championship at Congaree Golf Club in South Carolina. (Click for details)
- NJ Advance Media released its girls and boys All-State Teams. To view an entire list, click here for boys and here for girls.
- The 2021 U.S. Women’s Open wrapped up on Sunday and Holmdel’s Megha Ganne finished as the Low Amateur at The Olympic Club. She played in the final group on Sunday, capping her memorable campaign at the U.S. Women’s Open. Wayne native Marina Alex finished in a tie for 26th as she wrapped up her seventh appearance. - Grant Sturgeon of Arcola Country Club won the 2021 Dunning Head Pro Championship on June 7. The 36-hole event, hosted by New Jersey National Golf Club was led by Rylee Plitz of Eagle Ridge after the first 18 holes of the day. Sturgeon fired a 2-under 70 in the second round to win his first Head Pro Championship. (Click here for details)
- Raymond J. Donovan passed away on June 2, 2021. Donovan was 90 years old and was co-founder of Fiddler's Elbow Country Club. He also served as the United States Secretary of Labor from 1981-1985. (Click here for details)
- Golf outing opportunity – Bergen County CASA “Fore the Kids” Golf Classic to be held at Edgewood Country Club on Monday, July 12. (Click for details)
- The 42nd Annual Dennis Keelty Memorial Golf Classic is being held at Plainfield Country Club in Edison on Monday, June 21. The event supports the Hemophilia Association of New Jersey, which assists persons with hemophilia and their families. Celebrating its 50th year, the HANJ’s mission is to improve the quality of life for those with a bleeding disorder by providing access to highly qualified medical treaters and successfully proven medical regimens.
