The NJSGA’s “Wednesday Roundup” will run weekly through the 2024 golf season. This weekly news summary will feature local stories and news from throughout #thestateofgolf.   • Michael Brown and Brian Gaffney will compete at the 44th U.S. Senior Open at Newport Country Club in Rhode Island. Gaffney will tee off Thursday at 12:40 p.m. and Brown will tee off at 12:51 p.m. (Click for more

  • On the PGA TOUR, Max Greyserman, Ryan McCormick, and Chris Gotterup will play at the 2024 Rocket Mortgage Classic. (Click for more

  • Patrick Scenna of Wall qualified for the U.S. Junior Championship on June 20. (Click for more)

  • Samantha Galantini and Katie Lu are onto the second round at the North & South Women’s Amateur. Galantini will tee off at 8:50 a.m. and Lu at 12:10 p.m. (Click for more

  • Several New Jersey players are competing at the 69th Ike Metropolitan Golf Association Stroke Play Championship. (Click for more

  • 2023 New Jersey Amateur Champion Jack Wall finished t-19 at 4-under par 272 at the 62nd Northeast Amateur Invitational Golf Tournament. (Click for more

  • Danny Harcourt of Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club won the NJPGA Assistant Event at Forest Hill Field Club on Monday, June 24 . (Click for more

  • Jacqueline Zang and Harry Cohen won the Girls’ and Boys NJPGA Junior Section Championship on June 25 at Rossmoor Golf Course. (Click for more

  • The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation’s Jersey Shore Golf Tournament will be held on October 10 at Deal Country Club. For more information, please contact Bob Valvano at jerseygolf@mcsg.org

  • The Magnit Championship is looking for volunteers at Metedeconk National Golf Club August 12-18. Volunteers must be at least 13 years old. For more information and to register, please contact Sam Mok at smok@outlyr.com.  

  • Golfzon Range by Leadbetter will be hosting two junior golf summer camps in Westbury, New York. The Getting Into Golf Camp is designed for new golfers ages 8-16. Sessions start on July 8 and will run Monday-Friday and end on August 9. For those who already know the game, Play Better Golf Camp is for improving your game. These sessions will be held Monday to Friday with virtual competitions every Friday. For those interested in these camps, call 516-388-6210.  

  • Spectum360 will be hosting their Annual Fore the Kids Golf Tournament on Monday, September 9 at Crestmont Country Club. Spectrum360 provides people with autism and those with related challenges the specialized programs and support they need. To register independently, the player will receive on-site brunch, dinner, and open bar access for $850.   • On Monday, September 23, the West Morris Area YMCA will host their 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Panther Valley Golf and Country Club. This event will support the YMCA’s financial assistance fund. There are several opportunities to participate in the event.   • Entries are now open for several USGA events including the 69th U.S. Senior Amateur Championship, 37th U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship, 43rd U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship, 62nd U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur Championship, 10th U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Championship, and 10th U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship.
