The NJSGA’s “Wednesday Roundup” will run weekly through the 2022 golf season. This weekly news summary will feature local stories and news from throughout #thestateofgolf.   • A slew of New Jersey natives are competing in the Inaugural U.S. Adaptive Open in several different categories. Elaine Greyserman, mother of Max, Dean and Reed Greyserman is competing in the neurological division, Kenny Bontz, of Neptune is competing in the leg impairment flight and NJSGA Hall of Famer Dennis Walters is competing in the seated players division.   • At the conclusion of 36 holes of stroke play at the 73rd U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship at The Club at Olde Stone, Katie Li (Basking Ridge), Megan Meng (Pennington) and Angelina Tolentino (Mount Laurel) advanced to the match play portion of the championship. (Click for more)
  • Doug Ergood of Mount Laurel and 2020 New Jersey Amateur Champion Austin Devereux punched their tickets to the 2022 U.S. Amateur, which will be hosted by New Jersey’s own The Ridgewood Country Club from August 15-21, 2022. Ergood medaled, notching a pair of 66s in the 36-hole qualifier at Essex Fells Country Club on Monday and Tuesday. (Click for more)
  • Ami Gianchandani of Watchung, Kelly Sim of Edgewater and Katherine Lu of Plainsboro are competing in the prestigious Women’s Western Amateur Championship at Sunset Ridge Country Club in Illinois. After Wednesday’s round, the field will be reduced to the top 32 players for the match play portion of the championship. (Click for more)
  • 2021 New Jersey Four-Ball Champion Drue Nicholas of Galloway National Golf Club is currently t-5 in the Philadelphia Open Championship, held at Philadelphia Cricket Club. (Click for more)
  • Tara Fleming, formerly of Jersey City, Adrienne MacLean, formerly of Basking Ridge, Susan Sardi of Skillman and Linda Erkert-Bullock of Milford qualified for the 60th U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur Championship, held at Anchorage Golf Course, Anchorage, Alaska from July 30- August 4, 2022.   • Chris Gotterup of Little Silver will be competing in this weeks 3M Open and recently received a sponsor’s exemption into the Rocket Mortgage Classic the following week. (Click for more)
  • Tyler Lee of Frankin Lakes is the top seed for the 2022 Met Junior at St. George’s Golf & Country Club. (Click for more)
  • Arcola Country Club’s Grant Sturgeon and Chris DeJohn split championship honors with Montclair Golf Club’s Vince Ramagli and Jack Simon in the NJPGA Golfzon Pro Scratch Championship at Hamilton Farm Golf Club on Monday. (Click for more)
  • Angelina Kim of Tenafly is currently leading the AJGA Junior All-Star at York. (Click for more)
  • Allison Herring of TPC Jasna Polana finished 12th at the Lincoln Women’s Metropolitan Open at The Country Club of Darien. (Click for more)
  • On July 14, Ken Maisel of Cobblestone Creek knocked in a hole-in-one on No. 14 and the following day notched another hole-in-one on No. 7 at Cobblestone Creek.
  • Tickets are now available for the 122nd U.S. Amateur at The Ridgewood Country Club and Arcola Country Club. (Click for more)
  • Volunteer opportunities are now available for the 122nd U.S. Amateur which include walking scorers, marshals/forecaddies, standard bearers, tee services, operations and caddie services. Young adults ages 16-21 are able to volunteer for free. (Click for more)
