The NJSGA’s “Wednesday Roundup” will run weekly through the 2023 golf season. This weekly news summary will feature local stories and news from throughout #thestateofgolf.   • The U.S. Junior Amateur Championship kicks off next Monday at Daniel Island Club in Charleston, S.C. from July 24-29. FIve players from The Garden State will be taking on the field: Barnes Blake (Westfield, N.J.), Arjun Caprihan (Florham Park, N.J.), Devan Patel (Madison, N.J.), Elliot Parker (Cranford, N.J.) and Richie Reck (Middletown, N.J.) (Click for more)
  • The Amateur Putting Tour is coming to the First Tee - Raritan Valley & The Learning Center at Galloping Hill Golf Course on Saturday, August 5. The day consists of nine holes of stroke play with the top-10 players advancing to the APT Championship. (Click for more)
  • Caddie Scholarship Foundation Alumni & Friends Golf Outing will take place at Galloping Hill Golf Course on Tuesday, August 1. Alumni and current caddie scholars are invited to join friends of the Caddie Scholarship Foundation to partake in a day that will feature a continental breakfast, 18 holes of golf with a cart, a barbecue lunch, prizes, and raffles. (Click for more)
  • On Monday, Aug. 14, 1,000+ Holes of Golf are calling for junior and adult golfers to get together and play 1,000+ holes at Deer Run Golf Club. Players will raise funds for Fighting Children’s Cancer Foundation. Participants at other locations are welcome to contribute to this fundraiser virtually by playing at your own golf courses and campaigning for donations. (Click for more)
  • Samantha Galantini took home the girls overall title at the NJPGA Junior Open at Royce Brook GC with a score of two-over par, 146. On the boys side, Avery Cohen came out on top with a score of four-under par, 140. (Click for more)
  • The United States Golf Association has announced Pine Valley Golf Club, will host the 2034 Curtis Cup Match. Pine Valley has previously hosted the 1936 and 1985 Walker Cup Matches with the 2034 Curtis Cup Match marking the third USGA championship to be hosted at the renowned club. (Click for more)
  • Registration is now open to volunteer for the Korn Ferry Tour Magnit Championship at Metedeconk National Golf Club. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age as of the first day of tournament week unless a parent or legal guardian signs the waiver in the volunteer registration. Junior volunteers must be ages 13 – 17. Please note, junior volunteers can volunteer only for certain committees outlined in registration. (Click for more)
  • The USGA has a new one-stop shop showcases upgraded features and synergy with redesigned website. For the first time, the USGA App will feature live scoring and coverage of all 15 USGA championships through an elevated user experience that will provide a more engaging digital landscape for fans to immerse themselves in their national championships.  (Click for more
