The NJSGA’s “Wednesday Roundup” will run weekly through the 2023 golf season. This weekly news summary will feature local stories and news from throughout #thestateofgolf.   • NJSGA Hall of Fame inductee, Karen Noble, will be competing at the 5th U.S. Senior Women's Open this week at Waverley CC in Portland, Oregon. Noble will tee off at 11:10 AM EDT on hole number one. (Click for more)
  • The USGA announced that Plainfield CC will be the host site for three USGA upcoming championships. A founding-club of the NJSGA, Plainfield will play host to the 2025 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball, the 2031 U.S. Senior Women’s Open and the 2038 U.S. Senior Open which will serve as the third, fourth and fifth USGA championships held at the club.  (Click for more
  • Thomas Lee, Jason Bataille and Troy Vannucci successfully qualified for the 42nd U.S. Mid-Amatuer at Knickerbocker CC on Aug. 17. The trio will be joined by fellow N.J.-natives Anthony Alex, James Arbes and John Meyers at the championship which will be held at Sleepy Hollow CC in Scarborough, N.Y. from Sept. 9-14.  (Click for more
  • The second annual 1000+ Holes of Golf was a success last week at Deer Run GC with over 40 golfers playing nearly 1000 holes to help to raise money for Fighting Children‘s Cancer Foundation and STEM to Flower. The fundraiser will run through the end of September and donations are still being accepted.  (Click for more
  • Megan Meng has been selected to the 2023 United States PING Junior Solheim Cup Team joining the team of 12 headed to Spain. Modeled after the Solheim Cup, the PING Junior Solheim Cup features the 12 best female junior golfers (ages 12-18) from the United States against their counterparts from Europe taking place this year at La Zagaleta Golf Club in Benahavís, Spain from September 17 - 19.
