Wednesday Roundup - August 21, 2024

The NJSGA’s “Wednesday Roundup” will run weekly through the 2024 golf season. This weekly news summary will feature local stories and news from throughout #thestateofgolf. • Max Greyersman finished t-33 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship. He will compete in the BMW Championship this week. (Click for more) 

• Seton Hall rising sophomore and former W.Y. Dear Junior Champion, Isaiah Williams has been named to the Black College Golf Coaches Association (BCGCA) All-Freshman Team. (Click for more) 

• Several New Jersey junior golfers will be competing in the K.J. Choi Foundation Junior Championship BY SK Telecom at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club. (Click for more) 

• New Jersey golfers will be playing in the 109th Met Open Championship Presented by Callaway at Wee Burn Country Club in Darien, Connecticut August 20-22. (Click for more) 

• The 11th Annual R.A. Schiavone Memorial Cup Pro/Senior Scratch Event will be held on Tuesday, October 15 and Wednesday, October 16 at Forsgate Country Club. For more information, please contact Michael Furey at michaelfurey@forsgatecc.com.  

• The TJ DiMarco Golf Outing will be hosted Monday, September 9th at Old Bridge Golf Club at Rose Lamberston. Proceeds will benefit the Hypertrophic Cardiomyapothy Association and TJ’s Children’s College Fund. (Click for more) 

• The Scholarship Fund for Inner-City Children is hosting a golf outing at Canoe Brook Country Club on September 25. The SFIC provides children in need with an opportunity to receive a high-quality education in a safe environment. (Click for more) 

• Kids’ Chance of New Jersey is hosting an event at Scotland Run on September 30. Kids’ Chance of New Jersey is a 501c3 that provides scholarships to children. (Click for more) 

• The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation’s Jersey Shore Golf Tournament will be held on October 10 at Deal Country Club. (Click for more) 

• Rutgers University Men’s Golf is hosting the 7th annual Hackberry Invitational on Friday, September 27 at the Rutgers University Golf Course. This event will celebrate the 88th year of the Men’s Golf program. (Click for more)  

• Spectum360 will be hosting their Annual Fore the Kids Golf Tournament on Monday, September 9 at Crestmont Country Club. Spectrum360 provides people with autism and those with related challenges the specialized programs and support they need. To register independently, the player will receive on-site brunch, dinner, and open bar access for $850. (Click for more) 

• On Monday, September 23, the West Morris Area YMCA will host their 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Panther Valley Golf and Country Club. This event will support the YMCA’s financial assistance fund. There are several opportunities to participate in the event. (Click for more)
