The NJSGA’s “Wednesday Roundup” will run weekly through the 2023 golf season. This weekly news summary will feature local stories and news from throughout #thestateofgolf.   • Ryan McCormick and Chris Gotterup finished third and fourth, respectively, at the NV5 Invitational at the Glen Club in Glenview, Illinois last week. McCormick carded an opening round of 60 followed by rounds of 69, 65, 66 to finish 24-under par with Gotterup sitting just behind at 23-under par. (Click for more)
  • The Junior PGA Championships are underway at Hot Springs Country Club in Hot Springs, Arkansas from August 1-4. Representatives from New Jersey include Angelina Kim, Angelina Tolentino, Aphrodite Deng, Arjun Caprihan, Brooke Oberparleiter, Megan Meng, Ryder Hodgson, Samanatha Galantini. (Click for more)
  • Katie Li finished T6 in the 2023 Sea Island Women’s Amateur last week. Li finished with a three-day score of 69, 72, 65 206 (-4) (Click for more)
  • The Amateur Putting Tour is coming to the First Tee - Raritan Valley & The Learning Center at Galloping Hill Golf Course on Saturday, August 5. The day consists of nine holes of stroke play with the top-10 players advancing to the APT Championship. (Click for more)
  • On Monday, Aug. 14, 1,000+ Holes of Golf are calling for junior and adult golfers to get together and play 1,000+ holes at Deer Run Golf Club. Players will raise funds for Fighting Children’s Cancer Foundation. Participants at other locations are welcome to contribute to this fundraiser virtually by playing at your own golf courses and campaigning for donations. (Click for more)
  • Registration is now open to volunteer for the Korn Ferry Tour Magnit Championship at Metedeconk National Golf Club. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age as of the first day of tournament week unless a parent or legal guardian signs the waiver in the volunteer registration. Junior volunteers must be ages 13 – 17. Please note, junior volunteers can volunteer only for certain committees outlined in registration. (Click for more)
  • The USGA has a new one-stop shop showcases upgraded features and synergy with redesigned website. For the first time, the USGA App will feature live scoring and coverage of all 15 USGA championships through an elevated user experience that will provide a more engaging digital landscape for fans to immerse themselves in their national championships.  (Click for more
