- Several New Jersey golfers are competing this week in the U.S. Amateur Championship at Oakmont Country Club and Longue Vue Club in Pennsylvania: Ethan Ng (Fiddler’s Elbow), Chris DeJohn (Arcola C.C.), Sam Goldenring (Galloway), Michael Brown (Rock Spring), Trevor Randolph (Arcola C.C.), and Reed Greyserman (Hamilton Farm). Three Rutgers University golfers are also competing: Weston Jones, Xavier Marcoux, and Rhett Sellers. (Click for more)
- Jim Herman, former assistant pro at Trump National Bedminster, will look to defend his 2020 Wyndham Championship trophy this week on the PGA Tour. Herman shot 61-63 on the weekend to shoot -21 last year and win his third PGA Tour title. He will look to become the first back-to-back winner of the Wyndham Championship since Sam Snead accomplished the feat in 1955 and 1956. (Click for more)
- The PGA Tour comes to New Jersey (#thestateofgolf) next week, as Liberty National Golf Club prepares to host The Northern Trust, the first event of the FedEx Cup Playoffs. This will be the fourth time that Liberty National has hosted the opening tournament of the FedEx Cup Playoffs and first time since 2019. (Click for more)
- 2019 NJSGA Women's Amateur Champion Anina Ku is competing in the 118th Massachusetts Women's Amateur Championship at Plymouth Country Club. She is a Division I golfer at Harvard University. (Click for more)
- Two Mid-Am players from New Jersey are competing in the Pennslyvania Open this week at Philadelphia Cricket Club: Troy Vannucci (Marlton), Dan Keenan (Hammonton). (Click for more)
- The LPGA Tour returns to the historic Bay Course at Seaview on September 27-October 3 for the Shoprite LPGA Classic Presented by Acer. The event has been hosted just outside of Atlantic City since 1986 and has been long considered a South Jersey staple. Tickets are on sale now. (Click for more)
- The 2021 NJSGA Corporate Golf Challenge presented by Provident Bank is a can’t miss event. The tournament is open to teams which represent New Jersey-based companies from any business sector. This years event will be held at the gorgeous Canoe Brook Country Club on Oct. 12, 2021 (Click for more)
- The Ridgewood Country Club and Arcola Country Club will be hosting a unique, one-time opportunity for the public to participate in the 122nd U.S. Amateur Championship Preview Event. The event is tax-deductible - 501 (c) (3). 58% of the entry fee can be deducted; proceeds will fund the 2022 U.S. Amateur Championship. (Click for more)
- The 100th Anniversary Honorary Tournament of Shady Rest Golf & Country Club, the First African American Country Club is on August 25 at Galloping Hill Golf Course. On September 21, 1921, a group of black investors purchased the property in Scotch Plains, NJ and created the Shady Rest Golf and Country Club, which was a national staple in the black community. - The LPGA Cognizant Founders Cup is coming to New Jersey from October 4-10 at Mountain Ridge Country Club. The organization is looking for volunteers for the event. (Click for more)
