  • Rutgers senior and 2019 NJSGA Open champion Chris Gotterup was named Big Ten Men’s Golfer of the Week on March 24. The Little Silver, NJ native finished runner up at the 80-player Schenkel Invitational in Statesboro, Georgia, carding three-straight under-par rounds (71-69-71) to finish 5-under at the Forest Heights Country Club. It marked the eighth top-5 individual finish of his decorated Rutgers career. (Click for more)
  • The Philadelphia Cricket Club will get another chance to host the U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship. This week, the USGA announced that the Philadelphia Cricket Club has been chosen as the host site for the 9th U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship, which will take place May 25-29, 2024. A second chance of sorts, the Philadelphia Cricket Club was scheduled to host this same tournament in 2020 before the COVID-19 pandemic canceled the event. (Click for More)
  • LPGA & PGA certified instructor Katie Rudolph sits down with Ann Liguori to discuss her student Megha Ganne. Ganne, a 17-year old from New Jersey, participated in the Augusta National Women’s Amateur this past week, carding a 13-over-par 157 (77-80) over two rounds. Megha’s coach Katie Rudolph talked about the 17-year old’s potential with Ann Liguori on her podcast. (Click to Listen)
  • The Hemophilia Association of New Jersey will hold its 42nd Dennis Keelty Memorial Golf Classic at Plainfield CC in Edison on Monday, June 21, 2021.   • The USGA and World Golf Tour by Topgolf are launching the USGA eSports Grand Slam Presented by Lexus. The eSports series will feature four live championships on WGT platforms throughout the year, offering contestants opportunities to compete for a variety of prizes. The USGA Grand Slam begins with the Virtual Open at The Olympic Club and will also feature the Match Play Challenge, the Virtual U.S. Open, and the Grand Slam Series Finale. (Click for more)
  • Forsgate Country Club has hired Tony Perla as the new Director of Instruction for the Forsgate Golf Academy. Prior to joining Forsgate, Perla was the golf teaching professional and junior golf coordinator at Canoe Brook Country Club in Summit. He joined Forsgate’s team on April 5. (Click for more)
