The NJSGA’s “Wednesday Roundup” will run weekly through the 2022 golf season. This weekly news summary will feature local stories and news from throughout #thestateofgolf. - Forsgate Country Club is set to welcome the ANNIKA Foundation on May 12 for an allday event. The day will feature a breakfast session to hear Sorenstam's story, a golf outing on the historic Banks Course, a golf clinic, a six-hole exhibition match and a closing reception with raffle prizes. - The MGA Foundation, in partnership with Met Area clubs, will work through GOLFWORKS, its flagship internship program, will aid Ukranian State-side refugees enrolled at American colleges and universities who do not have a home country to return to this summer. Ukranian students as well as clubs looking to participate in this program should contact foundation@mgagolf.org.
- Rutgers Women’s Golf Association is looking for new members. The league plays 18 holes Thursday mornings from April through October. Anyone interested in joining should contact membership chair Kathy Torpey at kathy.torpey11@gmail.com or 732-221-6294.
- The LPGA Cognizant Founders Cup is headed to Upper Montclair Country Club on May 12-15. Volunteer opportunities are made available through the LPGA website. (Click for detials)
- The USGA and World Golf Tour (WGT) by Topgolf have announced their 2022 lineup for the USGA eSports Grand Slam Presented by Lexus, which offers competitors an opportunity to compete for a variety of prizes, including a grand prize VIP trip to the 2023 U.S. Open Championship at The Los Angeles (Calif.) - Registration is open for the 2022-23 Drive, Chip & Putt Championships. The USGA initiative is open to any boy or girl between the ages of 7-15. (Click for details)
- Registration is open for the inaugural U.S. Adaptive Open, which is a new national championship that will showcase the world’s best golfers with disabilities. (Click for details)
- Two early season NJSGA Member Golf Days are now open. (Click to view the current schedule and registration)
- The 2022 NJSGA Hall of Fame ceremony and reception will take place at Galloping Hill Golf Course. (Click for details)
- The NJSGA is hosting caddie training clinics this spring. (Click for details)
