The Metuchen Golf & Country Club duo recorded a blemish-free round, highlighted by four birdies.

Chan, just getting back into the game has leaned on Vannelli to help progress her game.

“He’s been an inspiration to me,” Chan mentioned. ”I stopped playing golf for a while and I got back to it last year and when I got back, I was struggling with my short game. Ron was there and I hope I made him proud today.”

Vannelli, 2020 Super-Senior Champion and Chans games complimented each other.

“She drove the ball so well because the tees were forward and she hits it really well,” Vannelli reflected. “I think we used her drive almost every single hole.”

“We made every putt we needed to make,” Chan added.

“She putted great and I putted well,” Vannelli added.

Dr. Stephanie Duke and Robert Sattler earned the win in the Overall Net divison, carding a 7-under par 64.
