U.S. Open Trophy Coming To Galloping Hill As Part Of Lexus Trophy Tour
The highly popular Lexus Trophy Tour, which brings the men’s U.S. Open Trophy to local sites, is coming to Galloping Hill Golf Course in Kenilworth on Saturday, April 29.
The U.S. Open Trophy will be on display in the Galloping Hill clubhouse from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Lexus, the exclusive automotive partner of the USGA through 2020, has conducted the Trophy Tour since 2014. In 2015, the trophy logged more than 5,000 miles in visiting golf facilities throughout the nation as well as stops at golf stadia of Major League Baseball and Major League Soccer
In 2017, the men’s U.S Open takes place the week of June 12-18, 2017, at Erin Hills in Wisconsin.
At the U.S. Open, U.S. Women’s Open and U.S. Senior Open championships, the Lexus Performance Drive Pavilion has become a popular destination for spectators. The Pavilion enhances the fan experience with engaging content, including autograph signings, photo opportunities with USGA championship trophies and interactive golf simulators.
The U.S. Women’s Open takes place in New Jersey this July 13-16 at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster. The U.S. Women’s Open trophy visited Galloping Hill on April 5 when tournament director Shannon Rouillard spoke at the NJSGA Golf Summit.
Lexus will also continue to provide courtesy cars at all 13 USGA championships, with nearly 1,000 vehicles provided each year.
In addition to its support of USGA initiatives, Lexus supported the launch of coverage of USGA championships on Fox Sports, as well as the USGA’s effort to achieve a wider distribution of real-time championship highlights through the use of enhanced digital and social media tools.
