Trump National - Bedminster Repeats at 2024 Senior Interclub Finals
WAYNE, N.J. - After winning in 2023 on their home turf, Trump National Golf Club – Bedminster won the 10th Senior Interclub Finals, claiming an eight stroke victory over the field at North Jersey Country Club on October 15.
The Trump - Bedminster squad took home the Adrian M. "Bud" Foley Cup, which is named in honor of the late former NJSGA president. Over a six-week period, four teams meet each other in section-play matches to determine the winner of their section. The NJSGA Senior Interclub is a time to visit new courses, make new friends and get the competitive juices flowing, all leading to Tuesday's finale at newly restored North Jersey.
For the Trump - Bedminster team, the duo of AJ Karanikolas and Dan LaVecchia led the way, carding an even par 71 en route to the title. The pair turned in four birdies on the chilly fall day.
"We love it," said Terry Conley. "The whole year is a great tournament. The guys have a lot of fun and we get to get a lot of different people involved. You get to meet golfers from all different clubs and the whole Senior Interclub is great."
The other six Bedminster competitors – Gary Gutjahr, Larry Hannon, Nelson Lee, Kevin Shanahan, Terry Conley and Abhi Kamerkar combined for 13-over par.
"We couldn't be happier," Conley added. "Really proud of these guys for digging deep and persevering."
