Qualifying Complete at W.Y. Dear Junior Championship; Match Play Set
WASHINGTON, N.J. - Following 18 holes of stroke play qualifying, a trio of Jacks earned the top spots in match play at the 103rd W.Y. Dear Junior Championship at Hawk Pointe Golf Club.
Jack St. Ledger of Montclair Golf Club led the way, firing a 4-under par 68 on Monday afternoon. He recorded seven birides and will take on Priyam Nayak of the NJSGA E-Club.
Jack Stamberger of Manasquan River Golf Club takes the No. 2 seed and will open play against Jake Morgan of Deer Run Golf & Tennis Club. Stamberger, son of two-time New Jersey Amateur Champion, Michael Stamberger, turned in a 1-under par 71.
Jack Puma and Ethan Gallagher also finished at 1-under par.
Round of 16 matches will begin at 8 a.m. at Hawk Pointe.
