NJSGA Victorious at 98th Stoddard Trophy Matches
WAYNE, N.J. - For the first time since 2021, the NJSGA claimed the Stoddard Trophy at North Jersey Country Club on Tuesday, July 1. This one-day triangular match play event between the NJSGA, Westchester Golf Association, and Long Island Golf Association features six alternate-shot, two-player team matches in the morning and 12 singles contests in the afternoon. The 12-player NJSGA team, features current and former champions.
In the morning foursomes, the NJSGA dominated both LIGA and WGA, winning five of its six matches against Long Island, while they won five matches against Westchester and tied the last match. In the afternoon singles matches, the NJSGA won six of its 12 matches against Long Island and three matches against Westchester.
With the win, the NJSGA improved to 43 wins all-time, which leads the WGA and LIGA 25 victories.
