NJSGA Schedule & Event Update - April 21
The New Jersey State Golf Association has announced the postponement of all in-person events through May 31, 2020, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. This includes NJSGA tournaments, Member Golf Days, meetings and seminars. Those who entered any of the below mentioned events will also be contacted separately.
The NJSGA leadership team will continue to evaluate the situation and will make further adjustments if needed, based upon guidance and directives of health and government officials. Specific, event-related information is as follows:
Four-Ball Championship: Originally scheduled for May 5-7, the Four-Ball Championship has been postponed indefinitely. The NJSGA will make every effort to conduct the event later in 2020.
Mid-Amateur: The two qualifying rounds for the Mid-Amateur Championship have been canceled. As of today (April 21), the NJSGA plans to conduct the championship proper as scheduled at North Jersey Country Club June 2-4, pending further developments which may cause additional postponement. Currently, the NJSGA is considering alternatives to the qualifying structure of this event. This information will be announced in the coming weeks. In the meantime, please note:
- Those who have already entered the Mid-Amateur Championship will remain in the field.
- Those who have already entered, but now wish to withdraw may do so and will be issued a full refund.
- Entries will remain open until at least May 8. Those who have not yet entered may do so by visiting NJSGA.org, or click here to enter.
Senior Open: The Senior Open at Springdale Golf Club has been postponed. The NJPGA and NJSGA plan to reschedule the event for later this year; details will be announced in the coming weeks. For the time being, the NJSGA will retain all entries which will be carried over to the rescheduled date(s).
Member Golf Days: A revised schedule and more definitive information will be announced in the coming weeks.
