NJSGA, MoleSafe Announce Partnership to Prevent Skin Cancer

KENILWORTH, NEW JERSEY – The New Jersey State Golf Association and MoleSafe are proud to announce their partnership which will provide NJSGA members with access to groundbreaking technology to advance skin cancer prevention and detection.

Together, MoleSafe and the NJSGA will focus on increasing awareness of skin cancer, especially melanoma, the deadliest form, as well as year-round issues relating to potentially harmful amounts of UV exposure. Over the past three decades, the incidence of skin cancer has more than doubled, and more people have had skin cancer than all other cancers combined. Also of note, each year there are more new cases of skin cancer than breast, colon, lung and prostate cancer combined, as per skin cancer foundations.

Golfers are a high-risk category risk for skin cancer due to their exposure to the sun. As they age, golfers become more and more of a risk for skin cancer due to their cumulative exposure to the sun. The highest incidence for melanoma occurs in white men aged 50 and over, and many are golfers who are exposed to the sun.

MoleSafe is committed to moving NJSGA members into the 21st century with vigilant skin surveillance. As a member benefit, NJSGA members will receive a $50.00 discount when they schedule a MoleSafe evaluation using code Golf50. MoleSafe currently has four locations, Florham Park, Paramus, Tinton Falls, and Manhattan.

About the MoleSafe Skin Surveillance Program:

The MoleSafe Skin Surveillance Program was created over the last 15 years to overcome many of the shortcomings of conventional skin cancer practices. To date more than 300,000 patients have taken advantage of the Skin Surveillance Program technology to benchmark and monitor their skin for the early signs of skin cancer. The most effective means of detecting skin cancer, primarily melanoma, is to identify changes in the skin. MoleSafe's program has been proven to identify melanomas earlier than traditional methods and with a significant reduction in excisions/biopsies.

MoleSafe offers comprehensive services focused on early detection and monitoring of skin cancer which include the following:

  1. Total Body Photography (TBP): High-quality images of the entire body are captured to create a customized 3D avatar.
  2. Dermoscopy Images: A non-invasive technique used to capture detailed images of suspicious skin lesions.
  3. AI-backed Monitoring: Innovative AI technology is used to monitor changes in the skin’s health.
  4. Team of Dermatologists:  Highly trained Dermatologists will review all images and make recommendations to your provider.

The unique MoleSafe process uses cutting edge technology to deliver Total Body Photography from head to toe, identifying the most significant indicator of potential skin cancer: changes in size, shape, and color of moles, freckles, and other skin abnormalities. During your 1st appointment with MoleSafe, a complete baseline profile is created which will document the shape, color and size of all skin freckles, moles or abnormalities. In the 2nd appointment, AI-driven technology compares and identifies changes in all features measured on the first appointment and any new findings.

MoleSafe uses an intelligent web-based platform to instantly sync images to a HIPAA compliant portal for easy access. The portal is accessible to you and your medical provider for review of the images and change detection analysis to enhance skin cancer prevention.
