NJSGA Caddie Scholars Caddie In The Shop Rite Lpga Classic Pro-am
Two NJSGA Caddie Scholars volunteered to leave the Green Brook Country Club caddie yard on Thursday, June 1 to head South to the Stockton Seaview Hotel and Golf Club in Galloway, New Jersey. Andrew Fiore, a recent graduate from Penn State University and Kevin Gray, both Caddie Scholars from Green Brook Country Club answered the call for caddies at the LPGA ShopRite Classic Pro-Am.
Kevin Gray, who is attending Penn State University in the Class of 2018, has seven years of experience caddieing, including caddieing in the LPGA ShopRite Pro-Am last year.
He writes: "Seaview Golf Course and the ShopRite Classic put on a fabulous two-day event. Touted as the largest pro-am in golf, the LPGA ShopRite Classic Pro-Am makes sure to get local caddies involved. Each group is accompanied by a forecaddie, and they make sure to take care of them generously. The event is a great time for any level caddie, as it is a chance to get close to the professionals participating and meet some interesting people. I look forward to caddying in this event in the future and would recommend trying to caddie in it to any kid who can."
Echo Lake Caddie Scholar Alumnus, Bill Hansen, is the Tournament Manager and has been on staff for several years. Every year, Hansen extended an invitation to caddie to current and past NJSGA Caddie Scholars.
