NJ Women's Golf Committee Joins NJSGA
The NJSGA is pleased to announce that the New Jersey State Women’s Golf Committee has joined the NJSGA, effective January 1, 2008. It will operate as a committee of the NJSGA, consisting of the former officers of the NJSWGC. Beginning this season, the NJSGA will conduct the New Jersey State Women’s Amateur, Girls’ Junior, and Senior Amateur Championships in cooperation with the new Women’s Committee.
Anna Zorlas, Chairwoman of the NJSGA Women’s Committee, said, “The New Jersey State Womens Golf Committee is excited about the union with the New Jersey State Golf Association. Every year our hope has been to communicate our championship information to every eligible player in the state, and we believe that by joining the NJSGA we will be in a better position to do exactly that. We look forward to being a part of the Association and working with their staff and volunteers in the coming years.”
The NJSGA, which presently conducts the Women’s Public Links Championship and the Women’s Tournament of Club Champions, is excited to have the Women’s Committee become an integral part of the NJSGA. The women’s tournament schedule will now offer a full complement of state championships to New Jersey women golfers.
