Meng shot a 4-under par 67 to earn medalist honors and punch her the ticket to California. She recorded five birdies throughout the day.

“Today was just a good day of golf,” Meng reflected. “I played well. I was hoping to just hit greens in regulation and keep my round as unproblematic as possible.”

Meng last qualified for the U.S. Girls’ Junior in 2022 at The Club at Olde Stone in Kentucky. She is rounding out her junior career as she will enter the collegiate ranks at Northwestern University. Longtime friend of Meng, Sarah Shao will be alongside after recording a 3-under par 68.

“It means a lot that I get to play this, and I get to play this with Sarah, too, because we’ve been friends forever,” Meng said.

Lee, of Scarsdale, New York also advanced after shooting 1-over par 72 for the day.
