Costanza, of Morristown, defeated Thomas Parker of North Palm Beach, Fla., 4&3 in the round of 64. He then bested Nathan Colson of Mequon, Wis., 2&1 in the round of 32 on Tuesday.
On Wednesday morning in the round of 16, Costanza powered his way past Brett Viboch of Sacramento, Calif., 4&3. He faces Andrew Bailey of Cleveland, Ohio this afternoon in the quarterfinals.
The championship continues on Thursday with the semifinal match, followed by the first 18 holes of the 36-hole championship match. Originally scheduled to conclude on Thursday, the event will finish on Friday instead due to an extended fog delay last Saturday which pushed the championship back by one day.
