The Alzheimer’s Association, Greater New Jersey Chapter’s Legendary Links golf raffle is a unique spin on the more traditional golf fundraising tournament. Instead of hosting an outing, the Association holds a raffle that enables golf enthusiasts to take a chance on winning the opportunity to play golf at the area’s most prestigious golf clubs – on courses considered the best of the best.
There are 28 prizes for this year’s raffle; including a Resort Package for two to play golf at Pebble Beach in Pebble Beach, California! Each raffle ticket entitles the purchaser to an entry in the drawing, as well as to the cocktail reception at Canoe Brook Golf Club on June 9, 2015.
Winning packages include golf at Baltusrol, Ridgewood, Canoe Brook, Essex County, Mendham, Roxiticus, Rumson, Spring Lake, Winged Foot, and others.
New Jersey is among the 11 states in which over half of Americans age 65 or older reside. The number of people in this age category with Alzheimer’s is expected to increase 24 percent by 2025 resulting in over 210,000 New Jersey citizens with Alzheimer’s disease and over 400,000 family caregivers. During its long history, the Legendary Links golf raffle has generated hundreds of thousands of dollars to support Alzheimer’s Association care, support and research programs for families that are impacted by this life shattering disease.
