Kearny Bank Claims 6th NJSGA Corporate Challenge Presented by Provident Bank
BEDMINSTER, N.J. - Kearny Bank won the 6th NJSGA Corporate Challenge presented by Provident Bank at Hamilton Farm Golf Club on October 9. Kearny Bank, headquartered in Fairfield, claimed their second victory as an organization, also winning in 2021.
“We play well together,” said Craig Montanaro, President and Chief Executive Officer at Kearny Bank. “We come out just to have a good time because we really enjoy playing with each other. We didn't know where we were in the field, we just kept playing. I thought we were in fourth place, but when we got in, I put our last score in and we moved us up to first place.”
The same quartet won at Canoe Brook Country Club in convincing fashion.
“We really enjoy playing in the event and it's great to win the second time,” added Montanaro. We just want to thank Provident Bank for the sponsorship and all they do for the NJSGA and supporting their foundations.”
The team, made up of Craig Montanaro, Jeff Apostolou, Craig Talerico and Jack Anastasi compiled 154 Stableford points.
The event provided a fun day of fall golf and amenities for foursomes representing a variety of New Jersey companies. All proceeds went toward the two charitable arms of the NJSGA – the Caddie Scholarship Foundation and the Youth Foundation.
In addition to the 18-hole competition at Hamilton Farm, each team’s entry included a merchandise gift certificate to the Hamilton Farm pro-shop, lunch before play, refreshments, a networking cocktail reception after play and awards program, courtesy of Provident Bank.
