John Myers Of NJSGA Partner Golf Car Specialties, Wins Basketball Coaching Award
John Myers, president of NJSGA partner Golf Car Specialties, also has a passion for basketball. In his third year as boys’ basketball coach at Bordentown High School, Myers guided the team to a state sectional championship.
In 2000, Myers and a partner were working in a rundown warehouse had a big dream. In 2001 the Yamaha Golf Car Company took a chance and signed us as a new distributor.
As quickly as 2003 Golf Car Speciaties became the largest Yamaha golf car distributor in the USA.
In 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 - Yamaha has recognized Golf Car Specialties as its Distributor of the Year
When Myers took over the Bordentown boys basketball program before the 2013-2014 season, the Scotties had won only 23 games in the previous four seasons, a total they have already topped twice in a single season. With a 60-27 record in his first three years, Myers has built the foundation for future teams.
