The free handicap seminars run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and include a free continental breakfast. Those who would like to stay for lunch and golf will be charged a generous fee of $25.
These seminars are free of charge and provided to NJSGA member clubs as part of the NJSGA´s membership services.

Club officials (i.e. staff, golf pro, golf committee representative, management) who would like to register for one or more of the seminars listed below, should contact the NJSGA to reserve your position. Clubs may send up to three representatives to a seminar. If you have more than three representatives who would like to attend please contact Rich Kennedy, NJSGA Director of Handicapping at (908) 241-4653 or by e-mail: handicaps@njsga.org OR richk@njsga.org
“The seminars provide an opportunity to brush up on GHIN handicapping procedures and the tournament pairing program (TPP),” said Kennedy. “This year, we decided to condense the program into just a morning session and provide the opportunity to play golf in the afternoon, weather permitting.
“Hopefully, adding golf to the day will draw a bigger crowd of attendees. The seminars are a nice introduction to those who are new to the NJSGA, to GHIN handicapping, and other services that we provide,” Kennedy added.
Keep in mind, these are not USGA Handicap System seminars and attendance does not fulfill any USGA Club licensing requirements. However, the USGA Handicap System procedures and rules will be discussed throughout the seminars in relation to the functionality of the handicap software and Web services.
