Gotterup, Wolfangel Share Medal At 94th Junior Championship
Chris Gotterup of Rumson and James Wolfangel of Copper Hill shared medalist honors at 2-under-par 69 for the 94th NJSGA Junior Championship on Monday, July 27, at Rumson Country Club.
Gotterup, who attends Christian Brothers Academy, was runner-up in May in the NJSIAA Tournament of Champions, which is sponsored by the NJSGA and won the Monmouth County Tournament championship.
Wolfangel attends Hunterdon Central High School and has won the Hunterdon County Junior championship.
The only other golfer under par was Reid Bedell of Manasquan River, a student at Rumson-Fair Haven, who shot 70.

The top 16 advance to Tuesday’s first round of match-play. The championship final will take place Wednesday afternoon.
In the 45th NJSGA Boys Championship, Sean Taylor of Echo Lake and Robert McHugh of Darlington were to top golfers at 2-over-73.
