Member Golf Days: Great Competition/Exceptional Value
Registration opens on August 1 at 9 a.m. for the six remaining 2018 NJSGA Member Golf Days. These popular events swing the doors open to some of New Jersey’s most exclusive clubs, all in exciting competitive formats.
Our fall MGD offering features – among other things – competition at a former USGA national championship host club, on one of the five founding clubs of the NJSGA, and on a rare northeastern U.S. Coore and Crenshaw design, and a chance to win in an exciting new MGD format. In each case, it’s great competition at an exceptional, hard-to-get-on golf course.
Who doesn’t like that?
This final 2018 collection of MGDs includes:
* Essex Fells Country Club (Sept. 13), Essex Fells
* North Jersey Country Club (Sept. 17), Wayne
* Cobblestone Creek Country Club (Sept. 25), Lawrence Township
* Hidden Creek Golf Club (Oct. 9), Egg Harbor Township
* Crestmont Country Club (Oct. 11), West Orange
* Hollywood Golf Club (Oct. 16), Deal
The format for five of these tournaments is individual net, with Stableford scoring. But for the MGD at Crestmont, the event format will be a new one – a best-ball-of-four championship. This special MGD can include teams of varying makeups, such as all-male, all-female or coed teams. The main criterion is that members of each team have an active GHIN handicap at an NJSGA member club or course. We also ask that, for this event, one player register and pay for the four-person team. Again, registration for these six Member Golf Days begins on Wednesday, August 1, at 9 a.m. The playing slots fill up fast – don’t be left out!
