Father & Daughter Tournament Set For Ireland's Acclaimed Waterville Links
Carr Golf, Ireland and Scotland’s premier provider of unforgettable golf vacations – announces its 10th annual World Invitational Father & Daughter Tournament will be held July 24-26 on County Kerry’s acclaimed Waterville Golf Links.
The wildly successful event has already seen a 30 percent increase in team applications for 2017. The tournament includes three rounds of golf at Waterville, deluxe nightly accommodations, reception, full Irish breakfasts each morning, tournament photo, shuttle transportation throughout and a prize ceremony complemented by a BBQ dinner. This past July, Carr Golf hosted 32 teams hailing from the United States, Canada and Ireland at Waterville, widely known as one of the world’s finest seaside courses.
“The interest in this joyous tournament has been off the charts and we’re looking to double the size of the field in 2017,” says Marty Carr, executive chairman of Carr Golf. “To see fathers and their daughters sharing their love of golf on one of the world’s finest links courses makes this event especially unique and compelling.”
Next year (2017) at Waterville, Carr Golf will also host its 28th-Annual World Invitational Father & Son Tournament, Aug. 9- 13. In 2016, 82 teams from 11 different countries competed including the U.S., Ireland, Scotland, Wales, England, Italy, Spain, South Africa, The Bahamas, Barbados and Denmark.
The premier event featured four nights accommodations, daily full Irish breakfast and lunch, welcome cocktail reception, practice round, three tournament rounds, long drive competition, tournament gift and photo, transfers within Waterville, nightly entertainment, gala dinner, prize ceremony and tournament concierge.
