DiTullios Deliver at 102nd Father & Son Championship Presented by McRae Capital Management
KENILWORTH, N.J. - Frank and Tommy DiTullio claimed the 102nd Father & Son Championship presented by McRae Capital Managment. After a long-awaited playoff at Galloping Hill Golf Course on September 11, the duo from Manasquan River Golf Club came out on top.
After play was suspended on August 6 due to severe weather, the DiTullios were tied atop the leaderboard with Dann and Elliot Parker at 3-under par 67.
The Parkers came from behind to force a playoff after three consecutive birdies to close out their first round.
The DiTullios stayed consistent in their first round, highlighted by four birdies on the back nine.
The duo earned the title on a challenging par 4 on the first playoff hole, as the Parkers bogeyed.
“We waited a little over a month since the original date and we were thinking about these shots for a while,” Tommy DiTullio said. “We had a little test for par there.”
The father and son took the moment to enjoy time with one another, as they played in their first Father & Son Championship.
“It was so much fun,” said Frank DiTullio. “It was absolutely the best.”
“It's the first time playing in something serious together and winning is pretty unbelievable,” Tommy expressed. “We’ll remember this forever.”
