Bell Continues Solid Play; Medals at Hawk Pointe in 121st New Jersey Amateur Qualifier

WASHINGTON. N.J. – Cameron Bell recorded a 3-under par 69 at Hawk Pointe Golf Club to earn medalist honors in qualifying for the 121st New Jersey Amateur Championship presented by Provident Bank.
“I’m just having fun,” Bell said of his impressive play recently. “I found just enjoying golf in the moment, having fun, trying to hit good shots and not get too up and down about it.”
Bell, of Knickerbocker Country Club notched five birdies en route to the low round of the day, which featured 120 players. Recently, Bell was a finalist in the 90th New Jersey Four-Ball Championship alongside Max O’Hagan.

Joey Lostumbo, Elliot Parker and Anthony Campanile finished right behind Bell, carding a trio of 1-under par 70s. Parker, of Suburban Golf Club had a rollercoaster round, opening with an eight, then coming back to notch five birdies and an eagle the rest of the way.
The low 24 players have advanced to the championship, which will be contested at Rockaway River Country Club from July 11-13.
The next qualifier for the 121st New Jersey Amateur Championship presented by Provident Bank is set for Saturday, June 11 at Quail Brook Golf Course. Pairings and starting times can be found here.
