Atlantic City Country Club to Host 3rd South Jersey Cup
NORTHFIELD, N.J. – On Tuesday, October 5, Atlantic City Country Club will host the 3rd South Jersey Cup.
New Jersey State Golf Association members can take part in this exciting male, female and senior division event for a cost of only $150, which includes green fee, cart, lunch and awards. Trophies and golf shop credit will also be awarded to top finishers at the conclusion of the event.
Last year, Steven Zychowski won the South Jersey Cup finishing with an impressive 3-under 67, while Samantha Perotta won the women’s division, carding a 6-over 76. The Senior Division title went to Ron Vannelli of Forsgate Country Club, who shot an even-par 70.
Proceeds from the event will fund the Gail Reilly Scholarship Program which awards two, $500 scholarships to one male and one female golfer that is attending college. Reilly was a former president of the defunct South Jersey Golf Association, which conducted tournaments in southern New Jersey from 1946-2018.
The men’s format will consist of individual stroke play with gross scoring. On the women’s side, there will be a net and gross competition. All competitors must have an active GHIN handicap through an NJSGA member club or golf course.
Since its inception, the South Jersey Cup has been played at Atlantic City Country Club.
