A Shore Treat; Women’s Golf Day at Atlantic City Country Club
NORTHFIELD, N.J. - The New Jersey State Golf Association visited a historic South Jersey staple in Atlantic City Country Club for the first Women’s Golf Day of the season. The weather, 75 and sunny with a slight breeze was ideal for a day out on the course.
With plenty of food, prizes and comradery, WGD was yet another success. On No. 12, a 110-yard par 3, Ru Abbott claimed closest to the hole, knocking it to 12 feet and 5 inches to win a foursome at Ballamor Golf Club, generously donated by the Ottinger Golf Group.
For the team competition, there was a three-way tie atop the leaderboard. Through a USGA match of cards, the group of Ru Abbott, Jin Chen, Weiling Zhang and Margaret Dalessandro took home the victory with a score of 9-undder par 61.
