5th South Jersey Cup Heads to Hidden Creek Golf Club
EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, N.J. - The South Jersey Cup is set for November 6, 2023 and is headed to the impeccable Hidden Creek Golf Club for the fifth edition of the event. Entries are now open and will close on October 21 at 5 p.m.
As usual, the South Jersey Cup is one of the NJSGA’s most anticipated late season events and will close out the 2023 NJSGA competitive season.
Ranked as the No. 19 Best Golf Course in New Jersey for 2023-24 according to Golf Digest, Hidden Creek is sure to be a true test of golf for South Jersey Cup competitors.
Designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw in 2002, Hidden Creek is highlighted by wide fairways and alluring woodlands. Hidden Creek is one of top courses in the region and a part of the Dormie Network, an exclusive private golf club network across the country.
This 18-hole, stroke play competition consists of divisions for both women and men. In the women’s competition, there will be both gross and net scoring. For the men’s competition, there will be gross scoring with a Mid-Amateur flight (age 25+) and Senior flight (age 55+), in addition to the overall tournament.
Most notably, the men’s overall gross champion and men’s Mid-Amateur champion will receive an exemption into the 2024 New Jersey Amateur Championship and 2024 New Jersey Mid-Amateur Championship.
The maximum handicap limit for the women is 35.0; The maximum handicap limit for the men’s Amateur and Mid-Amateur divisions is 10.0, and 15.0 for the men’s Senior division.
Lodging
New to the 2023 South Jersey Cup hosted at Hidden Creek are lodging opportunities. There are three options available to add to a competitor's tournament entry.
Option 1: Sunday, November 5th Overnight with Practice Round: $350 per person
• Includes Sunday afternoon 18 holes of golf
• Includes a-la-carte lunch before golf
• Includes overnight accommodation in one of Hidden Creek’s new guest houses
o Executive room standard price is $350/per night
• Golfer’s must employ either a forecaddie or walking caddie for their practice round
Option 2: Sunday, November 5th Overnight without Practice Round: $300 per person
• Includes overnight accommodation in one of Hidden Creek’s new guest houses
Option 3: Monday, November 6th Overnight (after event): $300 /per night
