21st New Jersey Evans Scholars Classic Set for July 17
WASHINGTON, N.J. – The 21st New Jersey Evans Scholars Classic is set for Monday, July 17 at Hawk Pointe Golf Club.
Since its inception, the New Jersey Evans Scholars Classic has raised over $630,000 and $420,000 in matching gifts to benefit caddie scholarships provided through the ESF and the NJSGA Caddie Scholarship Program.
In January 2022, the New Jersey State Golf Association’s esteemed Caddie Scholarship Foundation and the Western Golf Association’s (WGA) acclaimed Evans Scholars Foundation have built a partnership that will serve the youth in New Jersey with added opportunities and college scholarships.
In March, four New Jersey caddies in Anthony DeAngelis (Hollywood GC), Carter Frey (Fairmount CC), Kenneth Maher (Baltusrol GC) and Alexander Xanthacos (Spring Lake GC) were awarded a full housing and tuition college grant.
There are currently 16 NJSGA Evans Scholars in school this year.
Cost per player will be $250 or $1,000 for a foursome. All entry fees include cart, greens fees, driving range, prizes, lunch, dinner and auction access.
