Eligibility:
Entries open to male & female amateur golfers who meet ALL of the following:
- Entrant must possess UNQUESTIONABLE Amateur Status.
- Entrant must meet ALL of these Handicap (see above) and Membership Requirements:
- Maintain good standing and remain on the above Handicap Roster through the Championship proper.
- If entering from a public facility, or Club Without Real Estate, entrant must be a permanent resident of New Jersey. Proof of residency may be required.
Format/Divisions:
Men: (2) Divisions - Amateur and Senior Amateur (Individual Stroke Play – Low Gross)
Women: Amateur Division (Individual Stroke Play - Low Gross and Low Net Division)
* If entries exceed capacity the lower golfer Handicap Index will get priority into the event.
Ties: Men’s Am 1st Place – One-hole Sudden Death Playoff; Women’s Gross & Net – All ties decided via USGA Match of Cards
Trophies and Golf Shop Credit Awarded:
Amateur Cup Division – Championship and Runner-Up Trophy; 1st through 5th place Golf Shop Credit
Senior Cup Division (55 and Over)- Championship and Runner-Up Trophy 1st through 3rd place
Women's Gross - 1st Place - 1st Place Trophy and Golf Shop Credit
Women's Net - 1st Place – 1st Place Trophy and Golf Shop Credit
South Jersey Cup Maximum Handicap Indexes by Division
Men's Am - 10.0 max
Men's Senior Am - 15.0 max
Women's Am - 35.0 max
Transportation / Caddies: Motorized transportation is included in entry fee.
Food & Beverage: Lunch and dinner is included in each player’s entry fee. Players are invited to attend the awards presentation following the conclusion of play.
Refund Policy:
NO REFUND SHALL BE ISSUED AFTER THE CLOSE OF ENTRIES, except in the case of illness or injury as accompanied by a physician´s notice. In this case, entry fee will be refunded minus a $25 surcharge, $50.00 for team events. If a player does not gain entry into an event due to oversubscription, he will be refunded in full. No refunds shall be issued for any reason after the tournament start date. All requests for a refund must be initiated via email or telephone by contacting Rich Kennedy, at richk@njsga.org or 908-241-4653.
Entrant's Agreement:
By a player’s attempt to enter this Championship, he/she agrees that he/she has read, understands, and agrees to all conditions and stipulations set forth as indicated herein. A player understands that the final decision regarding acceptance of entries is at the discretion of the NJSGA, and that the NJSGA reserves the right to reject or withdraw an entry at any time, before or during a competition, and to modify the championship program for any reason if deemed advisable. A player has subjected him/herself to the authority of the NJSGA, whose decision on any/all points shall be final. USGA Rules of Golf shall govern play at all times and will be augmented by local rules in effect during a competition.
