Teams Exempt From Qualifying 

ELIGIBILITY:
Entries open to male amateur golfers who meet ALL of the following:

  • Entrant must be 25 years of age as of June 3, 2025.
  • Entrant must possess UNQUESTIONABLE Amateur Status.
  • Entrant meet ALL of these Handicap and Membership Requirements:
    • Hold a USGA Handicap Index of 7.0 or less, as of the close of entries, at a NJSGA member club/course. He must be listed on this club’s GHIN Handicap Roster.
    • Maintain good standing and remain on the above Handicap Roster through the Championship proper.
  • If entering from a public facility, or Club Without Real Estate, entrant must be a permanent resident of New Jersey. Proof of residency may be required.

CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT:
Stroke Play to Match Play. An 18-hole, Stroke Play qualifying round will be held on day 1. The low 16 scorers will advance to two days (four rounds) of Match Play. The round of 16 and quarterfinals will be held on day 2; the semifinals and championship matches will be held on day 3. The Championship field will consist of 72 players.

Transportation:
Motorized transportation is PERMITTED at qualifying sites only at an additional cost to players.
Motorized transportation is PROHIBITED at the championship proper. All players must walk.

Caddies:
Permitted; a player may bring his own caddie – or where available, reserve a local caddie.

Pull/Push Carts:
Refer to specific Player Information Sheet for host club’s policy.

FINAL DECISION REGARDING ACCEPTANCE OF ENTRIES IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE NJSGA. THE NJSGA RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT OR WITHDRAW AN ENTRY AT ANY TIME, BEFORE OR DURING A COMPETITION OR MODIFY THE CHAMPIONSHIP PROGRAM ANYTIME, IN ITS DISCRETION.
