Course Description
From environmental ruin to natural preserve, Berkshire Valley Golf Course transformed into a 18-hole, par 71, 6,800-yard course on 600 acres in Jefferson Township with the aid of the Morris County Park Commission and the Farny Highlands Coalition. Berkshire Valley Golf Course opened in May 2004 and has accomplished a great deal for a young course including host of the 2005 NJSGA/Ford Motor Company Women’s Public Links Championship and its addition to the NJSGA Official USGA Handicap Certification List in September 2005. Berkshire Valley Golf Course is a ‘must play’ because of the challenges and awe-inspiring views atop the Ridge of the Green Pond Mountain. This magnificent course is the recipient of four stars from Golf Digest’s “Best Places to Play.”
As of May 1, 2012 Billy Casper Golf oversees all aspects of Berkshire Valley operations, including golf course and property maintenance, sales, marketing and public relations, staffing and training, merchandising, restaurant and banquet activities, special events, and financial management.
Billy Casper Golf will enact its proprietary “BCGreen” initiative at Berkshire Valley to conserve, protect, and enhance the environment. Berkshire Valley will enroll in the Audubon International “Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary” program, maximizing efficiencies in maintenance, energy, water, pesticides, fertilizer, equipment wear, and labor.
Berkshire Valley Golf Course amenities include a driving range, practice putting green, clubhouse with grill room dining and conference area, and golf shop. The PGA staff conducts private and small-group golf instructions, as well as junior camps.
